very innovative idea that actually works. I’m 48 and was still having break-outs, this device stops them in their tracks; before they have a chance to actually develop. I would highly recommend it. when I purchased mine the MD version was not available. I would recommend it became it holds a higher number of "applications"; other than that, the Zeno Pro is great – you are just limited to 90 treatments on your replacement cartridge.

NeoStrata Oily Skin Solution Customer Reviews

By L. DeWitt

“I have searched far & wide for a product that aids in the treatment/management of keratosis pilaris (little red bumps on the backs of my arms). It is estimated that 40-50% of the population has a form of keratosis pilaris and there is no cure for the skin condition.

However, this Neostrata AHA 8 significantly reduced bumps and redness after only 2 weeks. After 4 weeks, it had almost vanished. The only drawback is that after 2-3 weeks of non-use the bumps tend to resurface. But, if you keep the application up, the bumps stay away! I use it religiously over the summer or if i have any upcoming special occasions where I want to look my best.
I found the product in SELF magazine, suggesting its use for keratosis pilaris management and have nothing but rave reviews!! Finally, something that works!”

Negatives:
“It does not really do anything do me. I tried this after reading about it in a magazine, but it had no effect whatsoever.”

Positives:
“This is a very good product for oily and combination type of skin, it can make the skin smooth and help to eliminate red and white bumps on the skin. This product is amazing. I have only used it 5 times and my skin as already so smooth with a huge decrease in the amount of bumps”

Have you ever thought that acne is a skin disorder that only affects teenagers? many people would answer this question with a “yes”, while this is right in a great percentage of cases, there are several adults suffering from acne. Yes, it is true, acne can effect people into their forties and beyond. Then, what we will try with this article is to review the main aspects of adult acne and analyze some hard figures in terms of percentages. Moreover, describe the causes and symptoms of adult acne and list some treatments. However, it is always advisable visit your doctor for specialized recommendations.

Adult acne is a common but rarely discussed complaint that is thought to affect around 25% of adult men and up to 50% of adult women at some time in their adult lives as clinical researches have found out. Consequently, acne is more common in women than men and it can be developed even if you never suffered from acne as a child. Twenty five per cent of acne occurs for the first time over the age of 26 years and it is sometimes the result of stress and/or dehydration. Adult acne is also prevalent, especially among people in the age group of 25 to 40. Adult acne also tends to be more resilient, with deep, blind pimples that can last for weeks. Many visits to the dermatologist are due to Acne Vulgaris.

Although the triggers for adult acne are unknown, it is thought to have hormonal roots. Therefore, it can be caused by a hormonal imbalances, pollution, medications, or stress as stated above. Studies have shown a direct correlation between hormonal imbalances and outbreaks of acne in women ranging in age from 30 to 40 years, stress, alcohol and hot foods could aggravate the condition. However, adult acne can be fully controlled by various treatments.

Adult acne, which is really just the same as teenage acne, can start in women who have just given birth because of changes in hormone levels, and can appear in women who had little or no acne as teenagers. It can become very severe, and can lead to pustule and papule formation.

Adult acne care is different from adolescent acne care, as the hormones going through ones body are different. Therefore do not assume what you used to cure your teenage acne problem will cure your adult problems as well.

Certainly, adult Acne sounds funny, but nearly seventeen million people in the United States suffer from acne, corresponding 18% to adults, this makes acne the most common skin disease.

To sum up, it is generally accepted and documented that adult acne is a very common skin disorder in adults, it affects 25 per cent of men and 50 percent of women. Furthermore, it haven been proven the direct relation between hormonal imbalances and acne. Nevertheless, there are treatments available for this disease, and you should visit your doctor for advise.

Acne is a complicated disorder of the skin that affects millions of individuals. Each and every single day, there is someone experiencing the disheartening and uncomfortable symptoms associated with this disease of the skin. While there are many different products on the market that promise results when it comes to successfully eliminating the symptoms and traces of acne, many individuals are now seeking out natural remedies. While it is true that herbal based remedies can take much longer when it comes to actual results, it has been deemed the most effective and inexpensive method of treatment.

If you suffer from acne, and are searching for an effective cure to eliminate the visibility of the condition in which you are suffering, it is important to know and understand that what works for one person is not likely to work for another person. The main reason for this is that we all have different skin types, and are all exposed to different environmental conditions. Furthermore, we all use different products when it comes to soaps, shampoos, conditioners, and other products that are similar in nature. It is very rare to discover a natural product that will work for you immediately; however, you should never underestimate the possibility of this occurring.

Now, in order to find the right ingredients to treat the skin, we must first examine the problem. Ultimately, when it comes to acne, the major complication arises when debris clogs the pores. However, if there is not enough fluids in the system of an individual in order to successfully eliminate the waste in the body, this can also pose a major problem for the person who is experiencing skin blemishes. Therefore, the first and single most important natural acne treatment that you should pursue is that of water. Drink water, consume foods with a large amount of water, and clean your skin with pure water!

Now, the next thing that we will look at when it comes to acne is the diet. The skin and the body as a whole requires certain essential vitamins and nutrients that assist in the production of new skin cells, the health of the skin, and the proper production of oils that are important to the overall health of the skin. If you are searching for natural cures to acne, it is important to ensure that you consume foods and supplements that encourage the health of the skin. If you are able to restrict yourself to a diet that is effective in this manner, you are likely to see a marked improvement in your skin condition.

There are many different herbs and natural supplements out there that can actually prove to be quite beneficial to the acne sufferer. If you want to explore home remedies and over-the-counter remedies, sometimes, it is best to focus on the ones that are free of dangerous chemicals and ingredients that can actually irritate the skin or strip the skin of important nutrients. Choosing mild ingredients that will compliment the skin are the best option. Some of the most popular herbs for this particular skin condition include that of red clover, blue flag, burdock, poke root, and other plants that are similar in nature.

If you have acne, there are many natural options available to you. Naturally, if you elect to use any herbal based remedies, it is best to include your doctor in on your plans. This is especially true if you plan on actually ingesting any of these products. Many herbal ingredients have been found to cause more complications than benefits. However, there are many natural acne remedies that have proven to be quite effective in eliminating the symptoms and visible appearance of acne.

Who Gets Acne – Are You Safe From It?

We all know that acne occurs mostly after puberty and affects mostly adolescents and young adults. Although not so common, acne also affects babies and small children and mature adults as well. These are the typical stages of life where acne may rear its ugly horns!

1) Neonatal/ Baby Acne

Not many people know that babies do get acne in their first month of life. It is a common condition that affects roughly 20 percent of newborn babies. Hyperactivity of oil-producing glands, stimulated by androgen at birth and in the following few weeks will cause acne on babies. Baby acne usually affects boys more than girls. Usually, comedones and scattered red inflamed papules and pustules are observed, mainly on the cheeks, forehead and chin. Baby acne usually resolves itself in a few weeks or months, so it is not a cause of worry.

2) Infantile/ Childhood Acne

Infantile acne starts later, and develops around 3 to 24 months of age. It is usually more persistent and severe and may last for many months or up to 3 years of age. Typically, non-inflamed comedones will be observed with papules, pustules on the cheeks and nose. Usually treatment is not required, as it will also go away on its own like baby acne, unless it gets more severe.

3) Adolescence/ Teenage Acne

Adolescence is the usual age where acne starts to set in. Tell tale symptoms that acne is about to strike is oily skin, and formation of whiteheads and blackheads, with inflamed papules and pustules on the forehead and cheeks. Sometimes, acne will affect areas of the body, like the chest and back as well. At this stage, treatment can be quite tricky, as acne may recur again. However, majority of these symptoms starts to get resolved as the adolescent moves into adulthood.

4) Adult Acne

Adult acne may hit women who are totally acne-free in their younger years. These may happen to those in their late thirties or early forties. The acne is usually mild, with whiteheads and some inflamed papules or pustules. Women who had acne in their adolescent years may also have persisting acne following them into adulthood. They usually observe a flareup in their acne around the period of their menstrual cycle.

For men, 15 percent of those who grew up with teenage acne could continue to suffer from it into their adulthood. Acne could still persist into their thirties and mostly affects their chin, jaw line, upper chest and back.

Another reason of acne affecting adults could be due to comodogenic make-up and cosmetics, such as foundation, anti-wrinkle creams, moisturizers, sunscreens, they put on their face. If the product is unsuitable, whiteheads or small inflamed pustules and papules may show up over the sites of application.

Body Acne Prevention

May 22nd, 2008 proactive acne Posted in Acne Cleanser, Acne Creams, acme solution, acne gel, acne treatment device, acne treatment system, acnee solution, acnes olution, acnesolution, ance solution Comments Off

When we think of acne, we think of blemishes on the face. But unfortunately, acne is not disagreeable to the idea of taking up residence on others parts of the body, and many people experience breakouts on their backs, arms, and shoulders. This can be very embarrassing and frustrating to deal with-while there are scores of facial products targeted at acne prone skin, body acne seems to get less attention. Really, though, the methods for preventing and curing body acne are not drastically different from what you would do for your face in such a situation.

Exfoliate

The skin on your back, chest, arms and shoulders is much more durable than facial skin and can withstand more frequent scrubbing-it’s also more likely to suffer from clogged pores since the skin cells are thicker. So don’t hesitate to slough of blemishes in the shower with a body scrub. Just avoid a product that contains alcohol, as these can try out the skin and in turn lead to increased oil production and more acne. Use a body brush to reach the middle of your back and your shoulders.

Your Detergent Could Be to Blame

Harsh clothing detergents are often the culprit for body breakouts. This is especially likely if you have a history of sensitive skin. Fragrances and dyes commonly found in detergents can irritate and inflame the sebaceous glands, which regulate oil production. Use a gentle detergent made for sensitive skin and don’t skimp on the rinse cycle when washing clothes.

Hydrate

Many people religiously moisturize their faces, but are not so likely to use lotion on their body. Its important to keep skin hydrated and balanced so the skin doesn’t feel the need the pump out extra oil. It’s important to find a moisturizer that’s light and oil-free, without any irritating dyes or fragrances.

Whether you suffer from body acne or just want to avoid any embarrassing breakouts next tank top season, the above tips will help you keep your skin clear all over. The key is to show the rest of your skin the same attention you give to your face.

Some Skin Care Products Increase Acne Breakouts!

May 18th, 2008 proactive acne Posted in Acne Cleanser, acen solution, acme solution, acne gel, acne sloution, acne slution, acne sollution, acne treatment system, acnee solution, acnes olution, acnesolution, ance solution, ane solution Comments Off

I am an adult! Why am I still battling acne? Adult acne can be frustrating and embarrassing but more than half of adults suffer from acne at some point in their adulthood. Since it is so common, what can be done about it?

Acne usually occurs when oil and dead skin cells get clogged in a pore and mix with bacteria. Adult acne can be caused by stress, hormones, birth control pills or bad cosmetics. This is why women are more likely than men to suffer from it. First, take a close look at your make-up. If you suffer from acne outbreaks, avoid make-up that is oil based. Choose products that are labeled noncomedogenic. Certain medical conditions and prescription medications can also cause acne. If you have other symptoms of a hormone imbalance or if your acne began when you started a new medication, consult your physician.

Adult acne often manifests itself differently than teenage acne. Adult breakouts are often mild or moderate and do not usually result in scarring. Blackheads and whiteheads are less common. Adult facial acne is usually seen on the chin, lower cheek and below the jaw line rather than all over the face as is common in adolescents.

As an adult with acne, you might choose to visit your dermatologist. A dermatologist can diagnose the condition on your face as acne or a very similar appearing skin condition called rosacea. Rosacea often appears with acne and can be caused by some acne medications. However, it is a separate condition and needs to be treated differently. A dermatologist can prescribe an effective topical or oral treatment for both acne and rosacea.

If you are confident that your skin condition is adult acne, you might choose to visit your local drugstore and try some of the over the counter treatments available. There are many kinds available but I suggest you do some research either by reading or searching the internet to learn what different ingredients can help or hinder the problem. I’ve suffered from adult acne for twenty years and made many mistakes. After many failed treatments, including professional help from a dermatologist, I took matters into my own hands and began researching everything about skin care. I was shocked to learn that many of the products marketed as acne treatments actually made acne worse.

I began seeking more holistic approaches to treating acne and found some relief but it takes time to see results. You first need to determine if the problem is just topical, such as bacteria clogging the pores of the skin, or you may suffer from nutritional problems. Some doctors recommend avoiding all dairy products for one month or more to eliminate extra hormones, which are pumped into commercially prepared dairy products. Switching to raw milk would eliminate this step. Another possible problem could be wheat products. Again, you should avoid them for a month and see if there are any changes. Most American’s diets lack many of the necessary vitamins, minerals, essential fatty acids and other nutrients required for new and proper cell growth.

The most important step you could take would be to keep a journal of everything you eat for a month as well as what products you use on your skin. If you see poor eating patterns, lack of exercise or rest, a life overloaded with stress or any other obvious problems, you should take steps to change bad habits and replace them with good ones. Do not forget to drink AT LEAST one half gallon of water per day.

No matter which acne treatment you try first, be sure to wash your face only twice a day with a mild cleanser. Also, use an oil-free, paraben-free moisturizer and limit sun exposure. Take the time to learn more about the ingredients in your cosmetics. There is a wealth of information available for anyone who wants vibrant, healthy skin.

Adult acne can be embarrassing. It is not a life threatening medical condition but it may have significant ramifications. Suffers of adult acne may have low self esteem and lack the self confidence to succeed. With all of the products available to treat adult acne, there is no reason to suffer. Visit your favorite health food store, drugstore or dermatologist soon and get the help you deserve.

Oral Antibiotics for Acne

May 17th, 2008 proactive acne Posted in Acne Products, Acne Remedy, Acne Removal, ache solution, ache solutions, acnes olution, acnesolution, ance solution, ane solution Comments Off

Oral antibiotics like tetracycline do not work quickly against acne as they do against sore throats and earaches. It may take three to six weeks before your face shows any improvement. Eventually, you will have fewer pimples and reduced inflammation.

Occasionally, acne bacteria develop a resistance to tetracycline, which explains why some people fail to respond to it. This was revealed by Dr. Fredric Haberman, a dermatologist at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City.

The most common side effects of tetracycline are diarrhea, discoloration of the nails, dizziness, nausea, stomach cramps, loss of appetite or vomiting. Consumer Guide’s “Prescription Drugs” said these usually disappear as your body adjusts to the medication.

What you should worry about are major side effects which include darkened tongue, difficulty in breathing, joint pain, mouth irritation, rash, rectal or vaginal itching, unusual bleeding or yellowing of the eyes and skin. These should be reported to a doctor.

To make the most out of your medicine, Consumer Guide suggests the following:

Ideally, this medication should be taken on an empty stomach one hour before or two hours after a meal. It should be taken with a full glass of water in order to avoid irritating the throat or esophagus (swallowing tube). If this drug causes stomach upset, however, you can take it with food (unless your doctor directs you to do otherwise).

Avoid consuming dairy products (milk, cheese, etc.) with¬in two hours of any dose of this drug. Avoid taking antacids and laxatives that contain aluminum, calcium, or magnesium within an hour or two of a dose.

Avoid taking any medication containing iron within three hours of a dose. These products chemically bind tetracycline in the stomach and gastrointestinal tract, preventing the drug from being absorbed into the body.

Tetracycline works best when the level of medicine in your bloodstream is kept constant. It is best, therefore, to take the doses at evenly spaced intervals day and night. For example, if you are to take four doses a day, the doses should be spaced six hours apart.

It is important to continue to take this medication for the entire time prescribed by your doctor, even if the symptoms disappear before the end of that period. If you stop taking the drug too soon, resistant bacteria are given a chance to continue growing, and the infection could recur.

Be sure to tell your doctor if you are pregnant or if you are breastfeeding an infant. Tetracycline crosses the placenta and passes into breast milk. If used during tooth development, this drug can cause permanent discoloration. It can also inhibit tooth and bone growth in the fetus. It should not be used for infants or for children less than eight years of age.

The Top 3 Natural Remedies To Get Rid of Acne Quickly and Effectively

May 16th, 2008 proactive acne Posted in Acne Cleanser, Acne Remedy, Articles, ache solution, ache solutions, acne gel, acne olution, acne oslution, acnesolution, ance solution, neutrogena advanced solutions, prescription acne, pro active acne, solutions for acne Comments Off

If you have acne, no matter how severe it is, you might be scouring all over the Internet trying to look for the best ways to get rid of acne. But you don’t have to do like that. You just need to know some methods that really are tried and tested to be very effective on acne and concentrate your acne treatment on those methods. Why bother trying out some unknown methods with unknown effectiveness? This article will show you the top 3 natural remedies to cure acne.

Tea Tree Oil

Before anything else, I would like to let you know that most branded and popular products out there on the market use benzoyl peroxide as their main active ingredient. The reason benzoyl peroxide is so popular among those manufacturers is because benzoyl peroxide really works. But based on my experience, tea tree oil is even far superior than benzoyl peroxide as a topical solution for acne. Tea tree oil, when applied, effectively kills those bacterias that cause acne.

Tea tree oil does not cause any negative side effects and is also very cheap. Everyone can afford to own a small bottle of tea tree oil to treat their acne.

Carrots

Carrots can really help in your acne condition. One reason for this is that carrot contains a high amount vitamin A. The lack of this vitamin alone can already cause a very severe acne. When you get more vitamin A, you can also treat your acne regardless of its severity. The world’s most powerful acne treating medication, Accutane, is actually derived from vitamin A, but it brings along the many side effects that may haunt its users over the long haul, which makes it less good a choice for some people. In this case, because we want the benefits of vitamin A on acne without the nasty side effects, we can eat more carrots.

Detoxification

Detoxification is by far the best acne treating solution. When detoxification is done correctly, your body’s immune system is improved. The end result of this is reduced amount of acne. Detoxification also helps in regulating the secretion of hormone androgen, which in turn controls the production of oil to the skin. By removing the toxins from your body, you are also preventing acne breakouts since the skin is actually one of the detoxifying organs.

Getting rid of acne is easy if you just know what works and what works not. If I tell you that it is possible to cure your acne in just two months, without spending any money on medical treatment and products, would you believe me? You better be, because I am a living proof that shows it is possible to cure acne of any severity in just 2 months.

Click here to learn my secrets and learn HOW YOU can also treat your acne in less than two months without spending any money on any expensive products and antibiotics.

Ooh, did I mention that the acne condition I was having was among the most severe my dermatologist, father, mother, school teachers, the clerk in the office, and many other people had ever seen? I had hundreds of acne on my face until I learned the secret to cure acne.
