Acne is a skin condition that usually starts at the beginning of puberty in both men and women. There are various issues associated with this skin condition, some of which are poor hygiene, changes in hormone levels, overproduction of sebum, and the sort of food eaten by the individual. A home remedy for acne can be made up of many different and even unusual things. Some of the home remedies for acne can be uncomfortable to apply, particularly for those with sensitive skin, while others have the gentle reassurance of grandma.
Herbal Acne Relief
Herbs are one of the first options that many look to for home remedies. The reason why these are usually considered a natural acne cure, is because herbs have been used for hundreds of years to cure and treat a lot of different problems in people. Among the more commonly used herbs for a home acne remedy are tea tree oil and stinging nettle infusion. Tea tree oil is either put on the face directly or diluted first as an acne natural cure. Tea tree oil has antibacterial components that are helpful in getting rid of the bacteria that are involved in the spread of acne in the face.
Conversely, Nettle tea is drunk as an acne remedy. Many herbalists advise drinking at least four cups of nettle tea every day, not only as a home acne treatment, but also to help other skin problems that may be affecting you. Other herbs, as illustrated by the many acne articles around, that may be effective as home remedies include calendua flowers’ extract, burdock leaf tea, rose water, the application of wet basil leaves and many others.
Other Types Of Acne Home Remedies
Other natural acne treatments that are written about – but may or may not get rid of acne – are toothpaste applied to pimples before going to bed, washing your face with vinegar, applying a solution of water and lemon juice, and many others. Bear in mind that some acne remedies may not be as effective as others say they are.
